The employer portal helps you communicate with us at UWV. It ensures you will be able to arrange the following with us:
- reporting employee sickness and recovery
- informing us of a change in your employee’s circumstances
- seeking expert opinions (‘deskundigenoordeel’)
- uploading your employees’ return-to-work plan
- requesting a decision on your employee’s entitlement to a benefit
- requesting a decision on an employee’s work capacity evaluation (‘beoordeling arbeidsvermogen’)
- applying for a work permit
- submitting a dismissal or redundancy request (‘ontslagaanvraag’)
Digipoort is a digital gateway used to exchange messages with various government agencies, including UWV. It functions like an electronic mailbox. You can do many of the same things in Digipoort as you can in the employer portal, but Digipoort is more suited to handling large amounts of data. It also reduces the need for manual data entry.
You will need an EH3 level eHerkenning account to access the employer portal. Make sure you apply for an eHerkenning account through an approved provider. Select the correct security level based on the services you need. The minimum security level required to access the employer portal is EH3.
You can apply for Digipoort by filling out the contact form (in Dutch). Once you have submitted the form, an UWV account manager will reach out to you to help set up your connection to Digipoort.
Keep in mind that your software needs to be compatible with Digipoort. If this is not the case, please contact your software supplier or check the List of approved Digipoort software suppliers (in Dutch).
You can authorise a colleague or another company to manage administrative tasks in the employer portal on your behalf. The authorised person must use their personal eHerkenning login when doing so though, as this cannot be shared. If you outsource these tasks to another company or intermediary, you will not need your own eHerkenning account, but the other party will.
You will need separate authorisations for each UWV service someone else wants to access on your behalf. These authorisations can be set up for your own employees or for an intermediary acting on your behalf. You can request these authorisations through the software package that you are using for Digipoort.
