To report your monthly earnings, complete the Report your monthly earnings form (‘Inkomstenopgave’). You will need a DigiD account to do this. You can access this form via Mijn UWV or the UWV-app from the first day of the following month. You will have until the end of that month to do this.
You must complete this form each month even if you didn’t earn any money in a particular month. You will receive your monthly unemployment benefit within 14 days of us having received your completed form.
Examples of the types of income you should report include:
- income earned while working for an employer (including holiday pay and year-end bonuses)
- income earned as a self-employed person
- income from other work (for example, one-off activities such as a job for a friend or a guest lecture)
- income through a pension
- income earned by your partner (you will only need to report this income if you are receiving an UWV top-up benefit)
Please note: If you are unsure about what type of income you should report, please call UWV Telefoon Werknemers (the UWV employee telephone line). We are happy to help.
Your employer will inform us of your covered earnings (sv-loon) via the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration. Your covered earnings will then automatically be filled in on the ‘Report your monthly earnings form’. This means all you will have to do is check everything is correct and confirm the amount.
You might have made a mistake when completing the form. If this is the case and you sent the form but haven’t received your benefit yet, call UWV Telefoon Werknemers to correct your mistake.
If you have already received your benefit, you can inform us of your mistake in the following month. To do this, go to ‘Controle van uw inkomsten’ (Check your income) on the form and fill in the correct amount. Make sure you tell us why you are reporting a different amount to the initial amount you reported.
